Lead Teacher is responsible for developing a cohesive teaching team, coordinating the curriculum, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Teachers must understand children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The Teacher must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide and focus on outdoor learning and garden stewardship / and implement nature-focused curriculum.
The Food Service Coordinator supervises food preparation and serves meals and snacks to center children and staff. The Food Service Coordinator is responsible for maintenance, cleanliness, inventory and safety of kitchen while following USDA guidelines. Has full access to the garden and coordinates supplies and budget with meal plans and creation.
Substitute
Substitutes are responsible for carrying out planned cohesive curriculum, working mentors and the teaching team, c, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Teachers must understand children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The Teacher must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide and focus on outdoor learning and garden stewardship / and implement nature-focused curriculum. Must follow DCF protocol and continue their educational and professional development plan.
