We’re proud to announce that Terri’s Treehouse Early Learning Center, located in Woodruff, is now one of only five programs in Wisconsin accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) for serving infants through kindergarten. This distinction places our center among the top tier of early childhood programs nationwide, recognized for excellence in education, safety, and family engagement.
NAEYC Accreditation is considered the gold standard in early childhood education. Fewer than 10% of programs across the U.S. have achieved this level of quality. Accredited programs must meet rigorous standards across ten domains—including curriculum, teacher qualifications, health and safety, and family partnerships. The process involves a multi-year review, site visits, and ongoing accountability to ensure children receive developmentally appropriate, culturally responsive, and emotionally nurturing care. The Treehouse is entering their 9th year being Accredited.
In rural Northern Wisconsin, where access to high-quality early education is limited, this achievement is especially meaningful. It reflects our commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and enriching environment where children thrive—and where families are true partners in learning. We invite the community to celebrate this milestone with us and to learn more about what NAEYC Accreditation means for the future of our children. Find out more below.
